Who we are

Plastering by the Pattersons Limited is responsible for the information you give us when you get in touch. We are registered in England and Wales, company number 17519611, and our registered office is Sidings House, Sidings Court, Lakeside, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN4 5NU.

This website is owned and looked after by JW Strata (jwstrata.co.uk), which also manages its Google Analytics. You can bring any question about the website or its analytics to us and we will pass it on.

If you ring, text or email us

Your number or email address reaches one of us, the same as any other call or message. If you send photos of the job, we use them only to quote for and plan the work.

We use what you send to answer you, quote for the job and, if you go ahead, do the work. That is the legal basis: taking the steps you ask for before agreeing a job, and then carrying it out. We do not add your details to a list and we do not pass them to anyone else.

We keep your details while we are talking about your job and for as long as we need them afterwards. If you become a customer, we keep invoices and job records for six years, as tax rules require.

You do not have to give us anything, but we need a way to contact you if you want a quote. We do not use your information to make automated decisions about you.

Analytics

If you agree to it, this site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people read. It tells us how many people looked at the site and roughly where in the country they were. It does not tell us who you are.

With your analytics consent, we also record taps on the telephone links, including which contact was selected and where the link appeared on the page. This helps us understand which parts of the site encourage contact. A recorded tap does not tell us whether a call connected or what was discussed.

The legal basis is your consent. Nothing loads until you choose. When you first arrive you are asked, and if you say no then Google Analytics is never loaded at all. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page; switching analytics off also deletes its cookies from your browser.

If you accept, Google Analytics sets two cookies, _ga and _ga_S8K757WR74, which let it recognise a returning visit. They last up to two years from your last visit. Your cookie choice itself is kept in your browser under the name pp_consent so the site does not ask again; that needs no consent.

Google Analytics keeps the detailed records for no more than 14 months. Google may process this data outside the UK, including in the United States, under safeguards recognised by UK data protection law.

The map

The maps on the contact, services and about pages are served by OpenStreetMap. Loading one means your browser contacts openstreetmap.org, which is how any map on any website works. OpenStreetMap’s own privacy policy covers that.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, and ask us to correct it, delete it, or stop or limit how we use it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Ring any of the three numbers or email plasteringpattersons@gmail.com and we will sort it out.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put it right first.
